Where To Check The Reflect Of Nsfas Money?

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (Nsfas) does not only cover tuition fees and accommodation, but it also looks after the needs of students through the provision of allowances that are paid out on a regular basis.

According to the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (Nsfas), allowance amounts are determined through consultation with institutions, and communicated to Nsfas when the student has registered.

The bursary scheme confirmed through a statement that its students will receive their allowances directly from the scheme and this depends on the institution that the student is registered with.

Should you be a student pursuing your studies through the University of South Africa, your Nsfas money will be reflected in your bank accounts.

Whilst Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college students view theirs on the Nsfas Wallet.

Things you must do to receive allowances via the Nsfas Wallet

• Your own cell phone and valid SIM card

• You must sign your NSFAS Bursary Agreement if you are a new student at NSFAS

• You will not need to withdraw cash to pay your landlord or any registered merchant.

The bursary scheme covers tuition fees, student accommodation, transport,  personal care allowances, living allowance, and book allowances.

It is also advisable that students have access to the cell phone number used when applying for Nsfas, as this is the number that will be used by the scheme when depositing funds and further communication regarding the bursary.
