It is usually awarded to enable a student to attend school, university, or college when they might not be able to, otherwise. Some awards are aimed at encouraging specific groups or individuals into the study.
Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone: Bursary 2021
The Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone Company is inviting students from the King Cetshwayo District, in KwaZulu-Natal, to apply for a bursary award. Bursaries are available for exceptional learners through RBIDZ’s Study Assistance programme.
Bursaries will be awarded for the following fields of study:
- Agricultural Engineering,
- Chemical Engineering,
- Civil Engineering,
- Mechanical Engineering,
- Electrical Engineering,
- Mechatronics Engineering,
- Geographic Information System (GIS ),
- Metallurgical and Marine
- Agricultural Economics and Extension
- Economics,
- Accounting,
- Actuarial Science
- Information Technology
Requirements
- Grade 12 passed with level 5 for English, Mathematics, Life Science, Accounting, Economics
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must reside within the King Cetshwayo District, KwaZulu-Natal
- You must be accepted to study at a University or the University of Technology in South Africa
- You must be accepted to study full-time within one of the aforementioned fields of study
- You must be from a previously disadvantaged background
NB. Applications will be assessed on both academic merit and financial need. Depending on your performance, you may be selected for an assessment programme. Acceptance into the RBIDZ Bursary Scheme is dependent on a successful interview. The bursary is renewable on an annual basis dependent on the bursar’s academic performance and conduct.
