HR Manager required for a reputable educational institution. The successful candidate will be required to Manage and oversee the full HR function for the Group.
Key Responsibilities:
• Custodian of the development and implementation of relevant HR policies, procedures, and practices to support the achievement of the HR strategy
• Oversee and manage recruitment initiatives
• Oversee and manage payroll processing – 300 employees using Sage VIP
• Consult with Management line and staff regarding HR issues for 5 branches
• Labour relations – the issue of disciplinary documentation and chair disciplinary-related matters
• Designed Employment Equity Chairperson – initiate and presented at the quarterly meetings with Forum Members and submission of the employment equity plan
• Preparation and submission of Workplace Skills Plan to various SETA’s
• Initiate and coordinate training initiatives
• Designated COVID Compliance Officer
• Designated Information Officer for the Protection of Personal Information
• Day-to-day operational assistance
Key Requirements:
• Human Resources experience of at least 5 years as a generalist
• Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in interpreting and implementing relevant South African labour legislation (BCEA, EE, LRA, OHSA, WSP, ATR reporting, and BBBEE)
• Qualification of at least a certificate in the HR field
• Good planning, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Payroll experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A good understanding of South African labour legislation
• Integrity
• Conflict management
• Must have a code 08 driving license and be willing to travel if required
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office and general IT systems
