South African students who are struggling financially but want to enroll in public universities or TVET colleges can apply for NSFAS, a government-funded bursary that covers the cost of their education.
The funding from NSFAS is used to cover the costs of registration, tuition, lodging, books, supplies, transportation, and daily living expenses.
