A bursary is a monetary award made by any educational institution or funding authority to individuals or groups. It is usually awarded to enable a student to attend school, university, or college when they might not be able to, otherwise. Some awards are aimed at encouraging specific groups or individuals into the study.
GWK Student Bursaries 2021
The GWK Ben Scholtz bursary fund offers students the opportunity to obtain a qualification in careers available within the GWK Group.
Bursaries are offered for the following fields of study:
- Agricultural Economists
- Agriculturists
- Buyers
- Grain Procurers
- Programmers
- Safex traders
Candidate Requirements:
- South African citizen
- Completed Matric
- Good academic record
- Studying or intend on studying in one of the aforementioned fields of study
- Studying or intend on studying at a recognized tertiary institution in SA
The bursary will cover registration, class, and book fees.
Please note:
- Candidates who obtain their qualifications will be considered for vacant positions in GWK.
- If a vacancy is not available, the bursary will be converted into a loan to be paid back to the Group.
