About the Opportunity:

The CSIR in partnership with MerSETA is offering work-integrated learning opportunities to students who require experiential training to fulfill national diploma requirements. The Programme provides opportunities for students to gain practical experience that augments their theoretical studies under the guidance of more experienced professionals. This opportunity helps applicants bridge the gap between academics and practical application, making them more employable. The Programme covers various fields of science, engineering, and technology (SET) sector including:

  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechatronics Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Chemical engineering
  • Electro-mechanical engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Electrical/Electronic Engineering (light current)
  • Biotechnology and Polymer Technology
  • Analytical Chemistry
  • Information Technology
  • Industrial Engineering

Application Requirements:

  • A South African citizen.
  • Full-time enrolment at a University of Technology in any of the above areas of study.
  • Must have passed all courses and left with practical experience to complete their National Diploma.
